Day 10: My Treasured Stories team

I’ve joined the #100happydays challenge. Daily, for 100 days, I will post something that makes me happy. Today, I want to give a shoutout to my fabulous Treasured Stories team!

Midday today, I wrapped up edits on a client’s book we plan to submit to the printer next week, and we’re making great progress on other books. Producing a quality memoir is a team effort, and I am grateful to have all these amazing people on my side:

My graphic designer Mariah Murphy has been with me since the start of this adventure. She does beautiful design work, is so dependable and responsive. She and I have worked on several projects together now, and we’ve got a good system going. She is a joy to work with and she makes our books (and me) look good!

I just hired a transcriptionist, the fantastic Kelli Beazer. A backlog of transcription had been piling up, and she is a lifesaver. So glad she decided to join my team. One of the best business decisions I’ve ever made.

I work with freelance proofreaders, one of whom is a former critique partner of mine, Alauna Cowdell. My two older children have also done work for me and I appreciate them!

Thanks, too, to my husband, for having faith in me and my business idea, and for helping me see the forest for the trees. Were it not for his wise counsel and sounding board, my life would not have balance and joy.
