Going on a Blog-cation

Pink Think: “I’m going to go away on vacation, I’m going to try to get away from the phone, away from scripts. I think it’s important to sit back and think about what you want.” – Parker Stevenson

Some housekeeping things.

My husband and I performed the song “I want a hippopotamus for Christmas” this past Friday night (me on vocals, he was the hippo). I am happy to report that it felt as silly and glorious as I imagined. Someday, I will audition for community theater; it was so fun to not just sing, but to act out a part! Sorry, Lance, I do not have any video or photos to show. 🙂

And thanks to everyone who entered my Matrimony book give away. Our winner is Sunny!

On to the real news.

After some soul-searching, I have decided to take a break from blogging. This will be my last post for a while. For how long, who knows?

A hiatus. I’m not even sure how one really pronounces that.

You see, I need to take some time out

to be uber-creative but not in a public way
to get my head out of a delicious fog
to spend time with precious family
to serve my neighbors
to write other things
to ponder
to live.

I’ll miss you guys, and getting to know you, your dreams and aspirations, the things we have in common, and even the things that we don’t. But I’m not going away forever. I’m just going to be down at my virtual beach, plunging my feet in tropical waters, sailing away on my adventures.

Just not here for now.

Thanks to those who have touched my life in some small or great way. That means each and everyone of you.

As a going-away present, below is my early Christmas gift to you, a short story I wrote.

Merry Christmas friends! And may all your wishes come true.

Till next time…
